Gee
Music and Lyrics by David Casey
If lyrics to this one seem a little bit off, then you’re right. There’s an inside joke. The reason for writing the whole song in the first place was to use the names of the chords I play in the song to also be the lyrics. So, when I sing “Gee” I’m playing a G chord. When I sing “See sharp” I’m playing a C# chord. It was an in utero song I wrote for Everett. And he did turn out to be a nice baby.
Gee, I can’t wait to see
If you’re gonna be a nice baby
Are you gonna see sharp
When you look at everything
Are you gonna be flat
When you try to sing
A major change is coming for
“Dee” whole family
