La La
Music and Lyrics by David Casey
Another true story. My daughter, Abra, had a friend who left her stuffed bunny over at our house one day. The little bean bag bunny had an orange dot pattern that made me wonder if the bunny was maybe sick or something. I started thinking about how the bunny would feel, all alone, far from home, but that it was going to be ok, because Abra treated the bunny with extra care.
Though your bunny came down with orange spots
I know she’s in good hands
You set her up, filled her plastic tea cup
With barrettes, bows and rubber bands
As her head slowly droops
Near her hair tie soup
You sing to her
La La, I’ll always la-love you
Best as I know how
Even when your place is facing places low
A little la-love‘ll keep-a be-a peeking out
You quietly pick up each dish
As she rests at the table
You pull back her ears with a noodle
As best as you’re able
Then with such tender care
You lovingly drag her upstairs
You sing to her
La La, I’ll always la-love you
As best as I know how
Even when your place is facing places low
A little la-love‘ll keep-a be-a peeking out
Rock-a-bye bunny, We need to rest
La la
I’ll always la-love you
